HYBRID TRANSMISSION

Derrick de Kerckhove folgend, programmiert das Linzer
KünstlerInnenkollektiv qujOchÖ mit HYBRID TRANSMISSION ein gemengtes
Gefüge auf drei Plateaus rund ums Ars Electronica Center: MATERIE -
TRANSMISSION - GEIST. Sechs Performances, verknüpft mit
Lichtinstallationen der beiden Visualisierer Ingo Randolf (bildstrom)
und Magnus Hofmüller (quitch), werden im Flussgassentunnel im Plateau
MATERIE ein Anti-Spektakel der Superlative, ein hybrides Gesamtkunstwerk
für das Auditorium kreiern. Im Plateau GEIST greift eine
Soundinstallation von qujOchÖ das Thema LIVING IN PARA.DOX anhand einer
Reihe von ineinander verschachtelten Texten auf, die einen grotesken und
bizarren Hybridakt liefern. Zur Verbindung der beiden Plateaus MATERIE
und GEIST wird in TRANSMISSION vom Raumchirurgen Gerald FREIGANG
Priewasser ein Flechtwerk räumlicher Fragmente in einer
ebenenübergreifenden architektonischen Intervention geschaffen.

With HYBRID TRANSMISSION the qujOchÖ artists' collective, based in linz,
follows Derrick de Kerckhove and offers a hybrid configuration on three
plateaus round about the Ars Electronica Center: MATTER - TRANSMISSION -
MIND. Six live performances, connected with light installations from the
visualizers Ingo Randolf (bildstrom) and Magnus Hofmüller (quitch) will
create an superlative anti-spectacel, a hybrid complete work of art for
the auditorium on the plateau MATTER which takes place in the
Flussgassentunnel. On the plateau MIND qujOchÖ deals with the topic
LIVING IN PARADOX by creating a sound installation in which nested texts
provide a grotesque and bizarre hybrid act. As a connection between
these two plateaus the room surgeon Gerald FREIGANG Priewasser produces
a basketwork of spacial fragments in a multi-level architectural
intervention on the plateau TRANSMISSION.

TRANSMISSION

In einer architektonischen Intervention schafft der Linzer Künstler Gerald FREIGANG Priewasser eine Verbindung der beiden Plateaus GEIST und MATERIE. Blutrotes, warmes Polyester, eingebettet in kühle Metallrahmen wird teils zu stehenden Paravents kombiniert, teils als isolierte Objekte gehängt. Flackernde Neonröhren im Hintergrund schaffen dazu eine flirrende Atmosphäre.

In an architectonical intervention the linz-based artist Gerald FREIGANG Priewasser provides a connection between the two plateaus MIND and MATTER. Bloodred, warm polyester, embedded in cool metall racks is combined to stand-alone paravents or to isolated hanging objects. Flackering neon lamps in the background create a glimmering atmosphere.

Konstruktion und Dekonstruktion im gleichen Moment, klebrige
Subbassnetze und feine Höhengitter eng miteinander verwoben - so lassen
sich die von TJGG generierten Soundscapes beschreiben. Mit ihren
Livesets in Bodymusic-Manie(r) erzeugen die beiden Linzer eine wilde
Mischung aus Ambientversatzstücken und purem Noise. Push the trigger,

Construction and deconstruction at the same moment, gluey sub-bass-nets
and fine high-grids intimately interwoven - that are the soundscapes
generated by TJGG. Their live-sets in manic bodymusic style generate a
wild mixture of ambient environmental stylings and pure noise. Push the

auf höchstem Niveau. Über das Detroiter Underground-Label "Low Res"
besteht eine enge Anbindung an Richard Devine (Warp Records). Releases
auch auf Suburban Trash, Hangars Liquides, Mascha oder M-Tronic.

Orgie aus Samples und verzerrten Beats. Label-Owner von Addict Records

Coming out from the deepness of grind and crust the young bostoner
dev/null created his insane breakspeedcore. Symphonic pieces meet

Ausgehend von klassischen Paradoxien aus Philosophie, Linguistik und
Logik ver- und bearbeitet das KünstlerInnenkollektiv qujOchÖ mit LIVING
IN PARA.DOX Diskursstränge auf mannigfaltigen Plateaus. Widersprüche im
kapitalistischen System, der Inzest-Hybrid, die Schizomaschine,
Paranoiaparadoxien und ein angenommener Fortschritt durch Widerspruch
werden in dieser Audio-Raum-Installation durchkreuzt, gegeneinander
ausgespielt, verschränkt, weitergehend paradoxiert und liefern sich eine
erbarmungslose Schlacht. Die Liste der KontrahentInnen und Referenzen
spannt sich von Judith Butler und Judith Lorber zu Karl Marx, über Mao,
Louis Althusser, Guy Debord, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Gilles Deleuze und
Félix Guattari bis hin zu Niklas Luhmann und den Idioten des Landlebens
kommunaler (Kultur-)Politik, modernen Managementbibeln sowie abgehörtem
Polizeifunk. LIVING IN PARA.DOX ist ritornellisierende und audible
Kartographierung, ein Maschine-Machen von und mit Widersprüchen, eine
Diskursverseuchung hin zu einem unaufhaltsamen Paradoxonpanzer.

discourse threads on manifold plateaus with LIVING IN PARA.DOX.
Antitheses in the capitalistic system, the incest-hybrid, the
schizo-machine, paranoiaparadoxons and an assumed progress through
antilogy will be crisscrossed, pitted against each another, further
paradoxiced and fight a merciless battle in this audio installation. The
list of the contrahents and references goes from Judith Butler and
